Exploring the Spatial–Temporal Analysis of Coastline Changes Using Place Name Information on Hainan Island, China

The traditional method analyze temporal spatial changes in extract through remote sensing, LiDAR, field sampling with statistical data. extracted by these methods has high resolution, but it requires sensing images data obtained other sensors, so impossible coastlines from before emergence technology. This paper improves generation algorithm. Firstly, a triangulated irregular network used generate preliminary rough coastline, then, each line segment optimized Python language according influence range place names further approach real coastline. accuracy this can reach 80% within 500 m, which great significance mapping analysis small- medium-scale coastlines. analyzes Hainan Island founding China (pre-founding) modern times impact coastal development on Through analysis, found that, People’s Republic present, natural become shorter, artificial longer, generally presents trend advancing toward ocean. realizes construction under condition missing puts forward new way study historical changes.
